Dear readers,
It has come to my attention that there is not nearly enough interaction between us! Even if i do only have two followers at the current moment, I want you and the non-followers who also read my blog to have a fun time reading my blog, so today we shall experiment with something new!
Today I will give you short summaries of several different creatures along with pictures of them, and then you will vote on which one you like best. List reasons and vote in the comments section, and I will announce the winner in the next post!
This is the Abada. It is the unicorn of Africa. It has two long curved horns that are said to act as antidotes to poison. It has a dark brown color, and a boars tail. BIG QUESTION: Is it real? Probably. How unlikely is it that a horse with horns would exist?
This is an Canaima. Basically, it is the Amerindian werewolf, only the person turns into a jaguar, not a wolf. THE BIG QUESTION: is it real? personally, It doesn't seem possible, but I guess I shouldn't discount it, because usually, in horror movies the guy who doesn't believe is the first to get killed!
Allocamelus: A hybrid between an ass (giggle) and a camel. THE BIG QUESTION: is it real? probably, considering it sounds like the description of a llama.
Gamayun: A bird of prophecy. It had a birds body and a human head. In Russian folklore, it was known for it's wisdom and knowledge. THE BIG QUESTION: is it real? in a literal sense, no. I think it is more of a symbol. Maybe there is a gamayun in all of us. or most of us, anyways.
Muscaliet: a hybrid between a squirrel, a rabbit and a boar. It was so hot it could burn down trees. THE BIG QUESTION: is it real. No.
Ōkubi: In Japanese folklore, okubi were giant heads that would appear in the sky as a warning of impending doom.. THE BIG QUESTION: is it real? I don't know. I have never been to Japan
well, I hope you like this post. there will be more like it, but for now, I encourage you to vote in the comments! Also, request subjects for me to write about!
Sincerely, Avigail
